Installation of sorting bins on the Fontainebleau campus
This proposal aims to install waste sorting bins on the Fontainebleau campus. Indeed, sorting bins are installed on the various UPEC campuses but this is not yet the case for the future EEP campus, located in Fontainebleau.
The installation of these bins is part of an effort to promote recycling and the recovery of our waste and therefore to reduce the CO2 impact of our University.
A few courses of action have been identified:
- Install selective sorting bins (cardboard/paper/packaging, mask bins, plastic, etc.) with nudged signs in order to make the sorting points more visible and limit illegal deposits.
- Organise an awareness-raising campaign on sorting (posters, website, courses, newsletter, organisation of visits to sorting sites, etc.)
- Monitor (monthly/annually) the fate of sorted waste and communicate the results to students.
Selective sorting bins could be installed by the end of the year and at the latest at the beginning of the next academic year thanks to the SMICTOM which proposes to equip our future campus free of charge.
